蕭煌奇在父親身邊，陪他走完人生最後一程，「親愛的爸爸，當我握著您的手的時候，雖然您已無法言語，但也很用力地回握，我知道您很捨不得離開我們，謝謝您等到我演出結束，讓我好好地和您道別。」並向父親感謝，「這輩子可以當您的孩子很幸福」。
